HydroAnalysis was established in 1988 to provide sophisticated, insightful analyses to address problems of hydrology and water quality. Over the past thirty years, we have successfully completed many consulting projects, using a wide range of computer modeling and data analysis and visualization techniques, to evaluate fate, transport, and potential impacts of contaminants in surface water and groundwater environments.  Through projects, professional technical committees, and conferences, HydroAnalysis remains current on research results and new findings in water science.

Peter Shanahan

Dr. Peter Shanahan, P.E., is the founder of HydroAnalysis. Dr. Shanahan has nearly 50 years of experience and has completed a wide variety of projects involving analysis and computer modeling of environmental water quality, hydrology, hydraulics, and hazardous material fate and transport. In addition to managing and conducting water resources modeling and analysis projects, Dr. Shanahan provides specialty services in senior technical peer review. Dr. Shanahan was formerly a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at MIT where for 20 years he taught practice-oriented classes and conducted research on non-point source pollution. Dr. Shanahan holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a B.S. in Earth and Planetary Sciences from MIT, an M.S. in Environmental Earth Sciences from Stanford University, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from MIT.
