Hydrologic and Water Quality Modeling to Support TMDL Development
HydroAnalysis worked for Maine DEP to support hydrologic and water quality modeling and analysis of the Androscoggin River and Gulf Island Pond focused on simulating dissolved oxygen and phosphorus concentrations. We used the U.S. EPA QUAL-2E computer program and a customized version of the U.S. EPA WASP computer program that was developed by HydroAnalysis. These models provided the technical basis for DEP to permit wastewater discharges that complied with an existing TMDL. We established a strong working relationship with Maine DEP staff and subsequently provided on-call modeling technical support related to several other Maine river studies.
